Nick Lowe ist in dieser Disziplin einer der größten Songschmiede.
Er garniert unverkrampfte Kompositionen mit Country, Soul und 60er-Jahre-Pop-Reminiszenzen.
So entstand amerikanisch geprägte Musik, welche auf jeglichen Pomp und ausladenden Instrumentalpassagen verzichtete.
Fast alle seine Alben mit Brinsley Schwarz und Solo sind großartig.
"The New Favourites" mag ich jedoch besonders.
